Burdekin Falls Dam
Burdekin Falls Dam
Burdekin Dam is the largest dam in Queensland. The dam is located about 100km south of Charters Towers. There are no vessel type restrictions on the dam. Accommodation is available at the Sunwater operated campground. The campground has powered and unpowered sites that do not require pre-booking. Facilities at the dam include toilets, barbeques and picnic tables. There is a lookout over the dam and tracks suitable for walking and bike riding.
