Delta Iron Works
Delta Iron Works
The Delta Iron Works was opened in Brandon in the early 1900s. The manufacturer spans four generations of the local Green family and is still operating today under the Green family. It's survived and even prospered during wars and cyclones and its provided employment for hundreds of locals.
Delta Iron Works was the major manufacturer of machinery for rural industries, particularly the sugar industry, in the Burdekin Delta and beyond and was a pioneer in several areas of work including irrigation and pumping.
