Drysdale Clock Tower
Queen Street is dominated by a large clock tower, unveiled in January 1930 to honor John Drysdale, a pioneer in developing the local sugar industry. Drysdale managed the Pioneer and Kalamia Sugar Mills, collaborated with engineer Henry Braby to construct the Inkerman Mill in Home Hill and played a crucial role in ensuring a reliable fresh water supply for the town and its surrounding areas.
