Eugene Pagotto Memorial Canefield Ashes
The Canefield Ashes brings the excitement of Twenty20 cricket to the sugar capital of Australia. Held at the Home Hill Cricket Grounds in the centre of the Burdekin Racecourse, the competition has quickly developed into a great weekend of cricket, mateship and socialising. The two-day contest is held in April of each year and attracts teams from the Burdekin as well as Townsville, Bowen, Proserpine and Charters Towers.
