Burdekin Water Festival Grande Parade & Mardi Gras

Join the celebrations when the Burdekin Water Festival Grande Parade & Mardi Gras take over Queen Street on Saturday 7 September!

The Burdekin Water Festival is one of the longest running festivals in Queensland, celebrating the abundance of water in the Burdekin region. The theme for this year’s Burdekin Water Festival will be Bring it Back, a nostalgic theme set to capture the hearts of the entire community.

The culmination of the Burdekin Water Festival program ends with the Grand Parade & Mardi Gras on Queen Street, Ayr from 4:30pm. Once the Grand Parade is over, the party begins with fun rides, delicious food, vibrant music, great entertainment and stalls for everyone to enjoy.

Everyone is welcome to join in what will be an extraordinary celebration and continue the festivities into the night for the official crowning of the Junior Ambassador winner and runner up at 7pm on the Main Stage outside Harvey Norman.
